Is a Neo-Soul/Soulful R&B band with a love for good music.  Free Verse is a term used for poetry that is free of boundaries.  The band brings this thought to all of their recordings and live performances.  The group was founded on the campus of Claflin University in 2005.  It was started by five students who had a passion for soulful music.  Now the band consists of eight members including: Nykki Smalls (Lead Vocals), Quahnkatiere Marshall (Keyboards), Will Priester (Drums), Avery Brown (Bass), Larry Sumpter (Sax), Priscilla Brockington (Background Vocals), Maralie Holder (Background Vocals) and DeQuincy Atterberry (Background Vocals).
